Getting a fast answer

What to put in the first message.

Five things turn a three-email exchange into a single complete reply.

What it is. A box size, or a description of the material and roughly what it weighs.
How many. Units, pallets or truckloads — an approximation is fine.
Which direction. Are you buying from us, selling to us, or both?
Where. A ZIP code is enough for us to price freight properly.
Photographs, if selling. One wide, one on a corner, one on a bottom edge.

Why is there no phone number?

ReGaylord does not operate a telephone line. Every quote depends on sizes, grades, counts, photographs and freight details that have to be written down anyway, so we write them down first. It is about thirty seconds slower at the start and considerably faster over the following three weeks, and it means nothing is ever misheard on a noisy dock.

How quickly do you reply?

Within one business day, and usually the same day if your request arrives before mid-afternoon Central. Requests that land over the weekend are answered from 7:00 AM Monday.

Can I visit the yard?

Yes, by appointment. Customers are welcome to walk the floor, look at graded stock and take sample boxes away. Ask in your request and we will offer times.

What should I include in a first message?

Box size or a description of the material, approximate quantity, whether you are buying or selling, your ZIP code for freight, and photographs if you are selling. That package almost always produces a complete answer in one reply instead of three.

Directions, access and what to expect at the gate.

Fiberglass Rd sits in the Fairfax industrial district in Kansas City, Kansas — minutes from I-635 and I-70.

Inbound trucks: Use the east gate. Check in at the guard window before approaching the dock; the driver will be given a door number.
Customer parking: North side of the building, marked. Walk to the main door rather than crossing the dock apron.
From I-635: Exit toward Fairfax Trafficway, then east. Roughly six minutes from the interchange.
From I-70: North on 18th Street Expressway to Fairfax, then follow signage for Fiberglass Rd. About twelve minutes.
From KCI airport: Thirty to thirty-five minutes southbound, traffic dependent.
Trailer access: Nine dock-high doors and two drive-in. Standard 53-foot access with room to turn on the apron.
PPE on the floor: High-visibility vest and safety footwear. We keep spare vests; bring your own boots.
Appointments: Yard visits and dock appointments by arrangement. Outside normal hours is usually possible for full truckloads.
