The company · careers

Thirty-one people. Most of them on the floor.

We are not a tech company with a warehouse attached. We are a warehouse, and the best people here can tell a 2A from a 3A across an aisle. If that sounds like work you would take seriously, there is usually a bench open.

Open and usually open

Six roles that keep the loop turning.

Some of these are open right now, some come up every few months. Write to us either way — we keep applications on file and we do call people back.

  • Box grader

Open, inspect and grade inbound containers against the written 1A–5A ladder. Band, mark and put away. The most important job in the building, because everything we sell depends on it being done honestly.

    Full-time · day shift · trained in-house

  • Forklift operator

Trailer work, put-away by footprint and grade, load building and load checking. Counterbalance and walkie stacker. Certification supported if you do not have it yet.

    Full-time · day shift

  • CDL-A driver

Regional runs on our fourteen-state lanes, dry van and flatbed, home most nights. Some local cleanout work in the 26-footer when the regional board is quiet.

    Full-time · regional · home most nights

  • Repair bench technician

Re-taping, re-stapling, flap and corner patching, sleeve replacement. Patient, precise work that turns roughly 1,100 boxes a month from reject into stock.

    Full-time · bench

  • Fabricator, cutting table

Run the 60-inch table producing pads, dividers, trays and display bases from reclaimed panels. Reading a cut sheet matters more than experience with corrugated specifically.

    Full-time · fabrication

  • Buyer / inside sales

Read incoming requests, walk the floor, and answer with what is genuinely available. Written communication is the whole job — we do not operate a phone room.

    Full-time · office & floor

What it is like

Dry building, written standards, no shouting.

The work is physical and repetitive and there is no point pretending otherwise. What we can promise is that it is organised: a written grading standard rather than a supervisor's mood, equipment that is maintained, a building that is dry and heated, and a floor plan where nothing has to be double-handled.

We pay above the Wyandotte County warehouse median, review it every year in January, and we do not run mandatory overtime. Saturday mornings are scheduled pickups only, and they are voluntary and paid at premium.

The thing people tend to mention after a year is the point of it. Every band that leaves this building is material that was going to be buried. That is not a poster in the break room — it is the invoice.

Applying

Three practical questions.

How do I apply if there is no phone number?
Use the form on this page or email us. Tell us which role, when you can start, and anything you have done that involved a forklift, a trailer, a bale or a bench. We read every one and reply within a business day.
Do I need packaging experience?
No. Most of our graders came from warehousing, construction or food production. Grading is taught here over about three weeks against a written standard - what matters more is that you are willing to open every single box rather than guess.
Is the building climate controlled?
It is dry, insulated and heated, with fans and cooled break areas in summer. Corrugated has to be kept dry, so the roof and the humidity are things we spend money on - which happens to make it a better place to work than most yards.

Prefer plain email? Write to hello@regaylordboxes.com with the role in the subject line.

The work

What a shift is actually like.

Written plainly because the worst outcome for both sides is somebody starting here with the wrong picture in their head.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with breaks. Saturday mornings are scheduled pickups only, voluntary and paid at premium. No mandatory overtime.
Physical demand
Real. Grading is standing, lifting and repetitive. Boxes weigh 18–29 lb empty. We rotate lanes through the day and nobody stands on one bench for eight hours.
Environment
Dry, insulated and heated, with fans and cooled break areas in summer. Corrugated has to be kept dry, which happens to make it a better place to work than most yards.
Training
Grading is taught in-house over about three weeks against the written standard. No packaging experience needed; willingness to open every single box matters more.
Pay
Above the Wyandotte County warehouse median, reviewed every January. Stated in the first reply rather than after three interviews.
Equipment
Maintained. Seven counterbalance forklifts, four walkie stackers, certification supported if you do not have it yet.
Progression
Graders move to bench, fabrication, inbound or buying. Six of our current thirty-one started on the grading run.
What we look for
Consistency over speed. A grader who opens every box at eleven seconds beats one who samples at four.
What we do not have
A phone room, a call queue, or shift work at night. Everything is day shift and everything is written.

Applying

What to put in the form, and what happens next.

There is no applicant tracking system, no video screening and no assessment centre. A person reads it and replies.

  1. Step 1

    Send the form

Put the role in Product Type, your start date in Message, and years of relevant experience in Quantity. We are not fussy about the form — we just read it.

  2. Step 2

A reply within one business day

From a person, saying either that we would like to meet you, that we will hold the application, or that the role is filled. All three are real answers.

  3. Step 3

    A visit, not an interview

You come to the yard, walk the floor, see the grading run and the bench, and we talk while doing it. About an hour.

  4. Step 4

    A half-day trial, paid

For floor roles. You grade alongside somebody experienced. It tells both of us more than any interview could.

  5. Step 5

    Offer in writing

Pay, hours, start date, what the first three weeks look like. No negotiation games.

Come and grade boxes for a living.

Tell us the role, your start date and what you have driven, lifted or built. We reply to every application.
